rELIABLE MAINTENANCE
AND RAPID FAULT RESOLUTION
Harris Protection Services Ltd shall provide planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and associated remedial works across electrical installations and electronic security systems, including but not limited to CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
All works will be carried out in accordance with current industry standards and best practice, including but not limited to BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), PD 6662:2017, BS EN 50131 (Intruder Alarm Systems), and other SSAIB-recognised standards, alongside manufacturer guidelines.
Planned maintenance visits will include inspection, testing, and verification of system components to ensure continued reliability, safety, and compliance. This may include functional testing of devices, verification of power supplies and battery condition, inspection of cabling and terminations, and confirmation of correct system operation.
Reactive maintenance and fault finding will be undertaken in a structured and methodical manner using calibrated test equipment and practical experience. Identified faults will be clearly documented, with the root cause established where reasonably practicable. Recommendations for remedial works will be provided where required.
Where agreed, remedial works will be carried out to rectify identified defects. Any additional works outside of the original scope, or where further investigation is required due to unforeseen conditions, will be clearly communicated and subject to client approval prior to commencement.
All works will be undertaken with due consideration to site conditions, health and safety requirements, and minimising disruption to the client’s operations.
